Lab Alumna Michaela Wojslaw Featured in Eos Case Study
We are pleased to highlight the work of Michaela Wojslaw ’24, a CAI Lab alumna and graduate of the Geographic Information Science and Technology (GIST) program in the Department of Geography at Texas A&M University.
Michaela currently serves as a GIS Analyst/9-1-1 Addressing with the Waller County Road and Bridge Department. She and her colleagues were recently featured in an Eos Positioning Systems case study showcasing how the county developed a reliable, high-accuracy road GIS to support its rapidly growing population.
The system brings together GNSS field data collection and ArcGIS tools to maintain accurate inventories of roads, street signs, and culverts. These data support more accurate 9-1-1 routing, infrastructure maintenance, emergency response, budgeting, and public communication. Michaela has also used drones, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and social media to help communicate the county’s work and demonstrate how public resources are being used.
We are proud to see our former student applying her geospatial knowledge to strengthen local government services and create a meaningful impact in the community.
