Dr. Cai’s research primarily focuses on geographic information science, disaster resilience, and socio-environmental sustainability, and environmental health.​

Nazmoon joined the team in Fall 2023. She received her Master's degree from University of Manchester, UK. She worked as an Assistant Professor in Geography and Environment at University of Dhaka, Bangladesh before joining TAMU.

Bingqian Chen joined the team in Fall 2026 as a master student. 

Hao Tian joined the research group in Summer 2023. He holds a Master's degree from Sun Yat-sen University. Hao's research focus on geospatial data science, urban human dynamics, GeoAI.

Siqi Zhou joined the research group in Fall 2025. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. Her current research interests lie in GeoAI, disaster resilience, and human–environment interactions.

Boyu is a Ecology and Conservation Biology major in the class of '28 with a minor in GIS. He is interested in researching the broad relationships between human communities and their surrounding environments.

Palash joined the team in Fall 2023. He received a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. He worked as an Assistant Professor at KUET before joining TAMU.

Ying Cai joined the research group in Fall 2026. She holds a Master’s degree from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include GeoAI, food systems, human–environment interactions, and disaster resilience.
