Prof. Qunying Huang Visited Texas A&M Geography and CAI Lab

Dr. Qunying Huang, Professor of Geography at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Director of the Spatial Computing and Data Mining Lab, was invited to visit Texas A&M University and the City Analytics & Informatics (CAI) Lab on September 25, 2026, and was hosted by the CAI Lab.
Dr. Huang delivered a Department of Geography Colloquium talk, “Advancing Disaster Resilience with GeoAI and Earth Observation: From Rapid Mapping to Predictive Modeling,” highlighting GeoAI applications in disaster mapping, impact assessment, and predictive modeling for wildfires and floods. During her visit, Prof. Huang also met with TAMU faculty and students to discuss GeoAI, Earth observation, and disaster resilience.
